Description from the creator

youtube.com/watch?v=j6klO3TFwDw How to Remove ANY App from Launchpad in 1 Simple Step.

The Launchpad on OS X Lion only lets you remove apps that were downloaded directly from the Mac App Store. If however, like me you have other apps there that came from the internet (or some other location), you can not remove these apps - there's no 'x' and you can't drag it to the Trash.

This guide walks through each of the very simple steps needed in order to remove one of these stubborn apps.

sqlite3 ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dock/*.db "DELETE from apps WHERE title='APPNAME';" && killall Dock
