How to Repair and Reinforce Your Straw Hat
ChannelUltrafinoDescription from the creator
Do you have a favorite hat whose crown has begun to rip or tear? Or do you have a hat you would wish to protect from wear and tear?
Try our premium crown repair patches for repairing and protecting the crowns of straw hats. With a strong 3M adhesive backing, just peel and stick into the inner crown of any straw or Panama hat! Not only can it repair cracks, but it'll also reinforce the crown with its sturdy straw material.
Purchase the patches from our website: ultrafino.com/products/premium-patch-crown-inse…
Or Amazon: amazon.com/Paul-Lashton-Protect-Adhesive-Backin…
Product is currently U.S. PATENT PENDING.
Instructions:
1. Flip the hat over and locate the tear.
2. Take the patch and peel off the backing from the adhesive.
3. Loosely apply the patch to the inner crown, try to keep the tear in the center of the patch.
4. If needed to reapply, carefully and slowly peel the patch off the crown and correctly reapply.
5. Pick up hat and apply pressure against outside crown to close up the tear, bonding it to the adhesive on the inside.
6. Flip the hat again, and firmly press down on the patch to completely bond the adhesive.
7. If necessary, apply pressure on outer crown again until tear is very less noticeable.

The Panama hat is a finely woven hat made out of toquilla palms on Ecuador’s Pacific coast. The finer the weave, the finer the hat. A hat that is considered to be of Ultrafino grade contains at least 600 weaves per square inch and takes about 6 months to make. When the company was started in 2003 the first hat ever sold was an Ultrafino grade Panama Hat. The name Ultrafino had a certain feeling of excitement, uniqueness, and quality. We wanted all of our products to radiate the same feeling of owning an Ultrafino grade hat. And so began Ultrafino Panama Hats.
Ultrafino means ultra-fine in Spanish and it has become the raw definition of the company. Everything we do is aligned to the name. We strive to provide ultra-fine customer service while providing ultra-fine quality hats.
