Description from the creator

A dropbox tutorial showing you how to restore previous versions of a file.

Sometimes we all make mistakes and save changes to files that we never meant to save. Normally if you close a file and save the changes you can't fix this. You're only option is to go back into the file and spend a lot of time undoing the changes that you didn't meant to save. Sometimes the changes simply cannot be undone.

This is where Dropbox can really become handy. Many programmers already have a central depository where version control is handled, however for new programmers or the rest of us we don't have that luxury. If our files are overwritten there's no magical system that's keeping copies of all the changes we make to our files... Well, with Dropbox there actually is that magic place.

Dropbox will handle version control for you. Whenever you update a file within the Dropbox folder the revised file is synced across all your Dropbox devices, but it doesn't just keep it synced. Dropbox will keep previous copies of those files as well. You can go in anytime and restore a file to a previous version. This is a very handy feature and I cover how to use it in this video.
