Description from the creator

Yes, Pete’s is known for their commitment to DIY customers, but do you know what gives us the authority to tell homeowners how to sand? The fact that we are also a hardwood contracting company. That side of the business is small, but mighty. And everything we tell our first-timers was learned the hard way: hours of experience on hundreds of houses. From a thousand unique floor stories, we distill the best practices and advice for your floor. This video is just one of those stories. Why did we choose to film this floor in particular? It was one of the thickest, meltiest finishes we had ever seen. It shows that some floors are waaay worse than others, floors where you will be thankful for 16 grit and even 12 grit sandpaper. It illustrates that sanding is a progressive process – and that we don’t expect the floor to be down to bare wood after the first coarse grit. You also get to watch the radiator edger in action, and Bob’s masterful technique scraping around the radiator feet and pipes.
