This video walks you through how to save locations in Google Maps. I use this Google Map Hack all the time to save great bars and restaurants when traveling to help me remember them. I also mark places as "want to go" when I come across them on Instagram or a friend recommends them. If you really like a place, mark it as a favorite so it shows up as a heart on your map. Never worry about remembering names of places that you've been, just mark them on your map.
