Description from the creator

It could be your blog, your landing pages or a resources section. If you have traffic on a subdomain (somewhere.website.com) then your Google Analytics traffic data may be inaccurate. Its counting success as failure and over-counting both users and sessions.

This video shows you how to set up a filter to see all the traffic, on subdomains and on your main domain, in one Google Analytics view. It's easy to set up subdomain tracking using a filter. Once done, your data is forever more accurate and insights are easier to find.

Note: You must use the same GA property across all subdomains
If you want to track how visitors are moving across multiple subdomains, you will need to use the same property for all subdomains.
