It is pretty easy to setup a gmail responder and to setup a signature in the mail account. Simply open your mail account and go to settings. Once you are in settings under general tab scroll down until you find the vacation settings. Add your response or welcome message into the space provided and turn the vacation settings on.
You will find the signature space provided just above that so you can easily add a signature to your mail. This all comes in very handy when you don't have an autoresponder like get response for sign up systems in your business.
