Description from the creator

In this video I’m un-podding the seeds from the sweet pea plants you’ve seen in previous videos.

There’s also been a few snaps of them over on The Curious Wildlings insta account Instagram.com/thecuriouswildlings.

Getting your own harvest of sweet pea seeds is really easy. Once your sweet peas have flowered, make sure to leave them alone and not cut them for the vase. Eventually those beautiful flowers will turn into seed pods. They’ll look lots like peas – but these are NOT edible! Keep watering them and they’ll plump up. Over the weeks you’ll see the pods get bigger and bigger. Once they have turned brown and have dried out, that’s when they are ready to harvest as seeds. Just pick them off and pop them somewhere dry until you are ready to take them out of their shells.

When you are ready to release your seeds just gently pull them apart and you’ll see the seeds sitting inside the pod! You’ll be able to easily pop them out, that’s if they don’t naturally fall out, so make sure to have a tray or bowl underneath to catch any wayward ones 😊.

Here in the UK you can either plant your seeds in October/November or late January-April, planting out seedlings in April time for summer colour!
