Description from the creator

In this video, you can learn how to finish it off by solving the last layer of the 3x3 Rubik's Cube! Rub1ks Cubed teaches you how to solve the third layer using the Beginner's Method.

NOTE: The links to previous videos in this series are given below. Watch the first video if you don't understand what the blue letters mean.
If you don't know how to solve the first and/or second layer of the Rubik's Cube, or if you don't understand the algorithms, watch the two videos linked below.

Solving the first layer: youtu.be/CCiZYcrIXrY

Solving the second layer: youtu.be/yttijYnV5-4

The cube I'm using: amazon.com/dp/B00989ZEDC/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_awdm_K2…

The cube I recommend: amazon.com/dp/B008U6V50U/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_awdo_I4…

To all the people who can't find an algorithm in this video that helps solve your cube: all the algorithms that you need to solve the last layer are given in this video. Some people complain that algorithms aren't there for a certain case, but that's not true. If you can't find an algorithm to solve your cube in the position that it's in, what this means is that at some point while solving the Rubik's Cube, one of your pieces fell apart, or a corner piece got twisted. Often what happens is that a piece falls out while solving the cube, and then you put it back in, but in the wrong way (accidentally flipping it around before putting it back in). That makes the cube impossible to solve. So in your case, the cube is impossible to solve without taking the pieces that are wrong and then just putting them back in correctly. I know this may seem like cheating, but accidental flips happen and this is the only solution.

Algorithms used to solve the last layer:

When you have a yellow center but no yellow edge pieces:
1. F R U R' U' F'
2. F U R U' R' F'

When you have a flipped "L":
F U R U' R' F'

When you have a horizontal line:
F R U R' U' F'

When you have a cross and none of the corners are yellow on top:
R U R' U R U2 R'

When you have a cross with one yellow corner:
R U R' U R U2 R'

When you have a cross with two yellow corners:
R U R' U R U2 R'

To position the corners that are diagonal:
R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2 U

To position the corners that are next to each other:
R' F R' B2 R F' R' B2 R2 U

To switch edge pieces on opposite sides:
M2 U M2 U2 M2 U M2 U2

To switch edge pieces next to each other:
M2 U M2 U M U2 M2 U2 M U2

To switch 3 edge pieces counter-clockwise:
F2 U' L R' F2 L' R U' F2

To switch 3 edge pieces clockwise:
F2 U L R' F2 L' R U F2
