A clean and sterilized jar is important to lengthen the shelf life of foods. Sterilizing glass jar using microwave is my preferred way of doing it. Wash and clean the jar thoroughly before sterilization. Metal lids can be sterilize by boiling it for 10 minutes and leave it dry onto a clean towel.
