- Conventional sanitary products contain polyester, dyes, fragrances and other synthetic ingredients
- Manufacturing conventional sanitary pads and tampons is very harmful for the environment, and conventional sanitary pads can contain the equivalent of four plastic bags
- If you want to do research on your own, check out websites like ewg.org/skindeep
- When you switch to natural products, it takes a lot of trial and error to find ones that you like and that work for you — don't give up
- Look for products that contain no sulfates, no parabens, and no silicone
- Even if a product claims to be natural, always read the ingredients because this label isn't regulated
- Integrate natural products in to your life one by one to save money
