How to test an armature simply by yourself|Earth Leakage Testing

In this video I'll show you how to test an armature using
#1 DMM
#2 Series Testing Lamp
cause of the motor failure? short in the armature windings or earth leakage in the armature
*Procedure(DMM)
-set the multi-meter in the continuity mode or Mega ohms range.
-touch each testing probes to determine existing resistance in the leads.
-doing a continuity test between each of the individual bars of the commutator and the armature shaft which is ground.
-touch the one probe on the commutator bar then the other probe on the armature stack.
-then take note reading on the meter.
-make sure no continuity between each of points.otherwise that will indicate there's a failure in the armature.

*Procedure(Series Testing Lamp)
-Give power to the Testing lamp.
-touch each testing probes to determine that is working.(bulb will glow)
-touch the one probe on the commutator bar then the other probe on the armature shaft
-touch the one probe on the commutator bar then the other probe on the armature stack.
-at the above tests, if the bulb glows, there's a failure.if not that's in good condition.
