Description from the creator

The fisherman's knot can be used to join two pieces of cord or rope. In this tutorial I show you how to tie the double fisherman's knot, which is suitable for joining most types of rope.

The fisherman's knot is a strangle knot which means that it tightens up even more when under load. In fact, often it tightens up so much, you can only cut it to release it.

It is one of the most useful and practical knots out there, often quoted by survival experts as a "must know" knot.
