Are you someone that constantly watches gymnastic videos or cheerleader videos? Maybe you're getting ready for cheerleading tryouts or cheerleading competitions. You might be into free running and want to learn how to do a handspring.

Regardless it all starts with creating backward momentum in your sit. This might be the scariest part within the skill. The mind and body does not like falling back.
Next you must jump and swing your arms into hollow set position. It is important to keep your stomach tight and core squeezed.
This then puts you in a tight arched position for your flight (no body parts are touching the ground.) That's the first half of the back hand spring.

The second part of the back handspring is landing on your hands in a handstand position. As soon as you hands touch you much snap down with your toes. Make sure your toes are in front of you as you lift your upper body up in a hollow position. Doing all of this should set up for your second flight. Remember you must continue to push your armpits by reaching your arms beyond your ears. As soon as you toes touch, you must punch through and rebound.
