Your water heater comes preset at 120 degrees most people simply do not find this hot enough . We suggest only going up to 130 degrees as it will take 30 seconds to be scalded, at 140 degrees it takes less than 5 seconds. This is very dangerous if you have small children or elderly people in your home, so please pay attention to where you are setting the temperature on your thermostats.
