Here Jo demonstrates how she winds a ball of wool using one of my Nøstepinnes.

Nøstepinne is Norwegian for Skein stick, it’s a handy, highly portable way of winding your beautiful skein of yarn into a ball that is ready for use. While it seems low tech, it can produce great balls of yarn that roll around in your yarn bawl perfectly. I have found that balls that Jo hand winds on a nøstepinne feed better from my yarn bowls than those I have bought pre-wound.
