A while back I had the idea to write a book about a family of vampires who owned a funeral home. The idea seemed so quirky and fun that I knew I had to write it. When I pitched it to my publisher, they thought that it would be best as a series of books. Having never written a series of books before, I wasn't sure what to expect from the experience. Over the time span of about two and a half years, I wrote and rewrote the books that have become the series that they are now.
