Description from the creator

In this tutorial, part 3 of the requested Jack Sparrow costume, I'll show you how to make Captain Jack's boots and vest. Both are very easy to make, and the technique for the boots can be used to turn pretty much any pair of boots into pirate-ready boots. And when you're done, they can go back to being ordinary boots, so you can just use a pair you already own, rather than having to buy a special pair for these. I'll also show you how I made the sword, though that's something I made a long time ago, so that'll be an explanation, not a live-making part of the tutorial.

MATERIALS USED:
1 pair of boots
Half yard of distressed fabric (found in JoAnn Fabrics)
1 sheet of 3mm craft foam (amzn.to/2DH7K2y)
1 brown or gray button-down shirt
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Awl
Yarn or lacing
Sewing machine or needle and thread

For Sword:
Long piece of wood, 1 inch wide and 1/2 thick
Circle cut from cardboard or 1/8 inch thick wood
Two 1/4 inch x 1/4 pieces of wood
Wood glue
masking tape
Gold and silver paint
3 5-inch pieces of thick wire (like bailing wire)
Saw

*** The materials listed above are the products I actually used for this project. I find that people often want to know exactly what I use, so I've started including exact links when I can find them. However, it's simply meant as a guide and you can substitute with whatever comparable brands/products you might have available in your own area. Also some of the links may be affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission from the company if a sale is made. It doesn't cost you any extra; it's just a simple way to help support my work on this channel. (I just figured, hey, as long as I was posting the links anyway, I might as well make them affiliate links)
