Description from the creator

Sorry I didn't upload a tutorial this Monday, but I had two good reasons not to! Meet Phobos and Deimos, two little rescued kitties that I'm rehabilitating and fostering until someone wants to adopt them.

You can find my Mondkatze and Mondhund pendants here: talty.deviantart.com/gallery/38991611 handmade out of polymer clay by me after someone's beloved pet. 100% of the profit is donated to animal organizations. If you want your own please contact me for pricing!

Long story is long
Their mom was a cat that was thrown to the street by her irresponsible humans because she was pregnant, when obviously it's their fault because they didn't get her fixed (people, please fix your cats and dogs there's already enough of them in need of homes!). A really nice couple found her on an alley with her 1 month old babies, they fed them but they didn't know how to take care of cats, so they couldn't properly socialize Phobos and Deimos so they grew up being a bit feral. They decided that the best thing they could do was get the mom fixed, adopt her, and put the babies up for adoption. I agree with them, it's the first time they have a cat and socializing a feral cat is no easy task.

The Pro-Animal Organization Angeles Peludos (Furry Angels) contacted us and asked us to provide temporary home for them, socialize them and make them into adorable little cats that love to be with humans. They aren't aggressive and they've never attacked us or scratched us (I did get a playful bite on my feet last night tho) but they were extremely afraid of humans. In just three short days they've went from hiding and hissing all the time to being comfortable with human presence, and even being petted a little bit ^^ huge progress! I'm confident that by the time someone asks to adopt them they will be adorable fur balls. It will be very difficult to let them go, but I have to make this because this way I can help more cats next time.

The first day they were here they somehow managed to get inside of a sofa that I didn't even know had a hollow space, and refused to go out. It took us a whole day to get them out, and I had to cut a bit of the fabric to reach them (don't tell my mom - I'm sorry mom). After that we removed every hiding space they could get to and only left them with a couple of acceptable places, to show them that nothing would happen if they were on a more open spot, until they felt comfortable with our presence. After that we proceeded to play with them and making them more and more comfortable with interaction, we go little by little but I believe we're making great progress, it's been just three days but look how relaxed they are now.

We're awesome with cats, I need my own show. (lol jk)

Every progress we make is extremely exciting ^^ we went from two nervous and constantly hissing kitties to playful and mischievous kitties that don't let me sleep because they're running over me and munching my feet. It makes me so happy because I know they're happier and they have a better opportunity of finding a home this way :)

I really really really really need to remind myself that we can't keep them x.x I love them more each day. This is an exercise for us to see if we can provide temporary house for cats that need them, without developing the need to keep them. We just love cats so much v.v
