For the many people who don't have woodworking workshops, and are not in a place where they can have one, wood carving is a great way of getting immersed into woodworking without having to machinery like a table saw, jointer, planer, miter saw and, well, a small bandsaw might be an asset, but you can also hand-cut wood for carving if you need. This is why I decided to do this wood carving for beginners video. In this wood carving tutorial, I'll show you the very basics to get you started wood carving.
There many kinds of carving, chip carving, caricature, Dremel, walking sticks, wood canes, model cars, trains and airplanes, the list is long for this age-old woodworking medium.
