1:09 Song #1; a Nirvana classic.
I’m just playing the intro base riff to get you warmed up. Like, super-easy. You will see how easy this song is to play on the acoustic guitar. Play along in real time if you want to!
1:37 Song #2; a great song by John Cougar
or was it John Cougar Mellencamp. Three simple chords with some quick strumming, but a very identifiable guitar riff.
2:16 Song #3; a classic from the Rolling Stones.
Big heavy bass sound with a real rock’n’roll feel. Iconic Rolling Stones!!
3:21 Song #4; a huge hit for Matchbox 20
with a surprisingly simple three chord pattern but sound so much more complex. Definitely worth adding this to your song portfolio!
4:15 Song #5; A collaboration between Santana and Evermore
this song is perfect for the acoustic guitar. I also take some time to break this one down a bit so you can have a go at playing it yourself.
5:46 Song #6; an instantly identifiable song from The Who
with a simple chord progression but requiring some strumming skills. A must listen song.
6:28 BONUS Song #7;
I call this one Campfire Guitar Hero Arpeggio. If you are to learn one “guitar party trick” song then this is it. It won’t be what you expect, but once you hear it you will fall in love with it.
