[Guitar Tapping Tutorial] Learn Finger Tapping In 7 Minutes

In this guitar tapping tutorial video I'm going to show you exactly how to play two hand tapping.

You’ll learn the 5 things you must do in order to become a finger tapping master.

Here’s what they are…

First, I’ll show you how to correctly tap with your right-hand fingers. There is more than one right way, but there are also many wrong ways to learn guitar tapping. I’ll show you the way many pros play guitar tapping. Once you learn it, it’s quite easy to play.

Second (and most important), when doing 2 hand tapping, you must have a reliable way to keep all the lower strings that you are not playing quiet. I’ll show you how to easily do this using the thumb of your tapping hand (thumb muting is more reliable than muting with your palm).

Third, unless you are tapping on the high string, you also need a reliable way to mute all the higher guitar strings when doing any right hand tapping. I’ll show you how to do this too (it’s easy).

Fourth, you’ll learn that your fretting hand is just as important as your tapping hand. I’ll show you how to strengthen your left-hand legato playing so that when you tap notes on the guitar, it sounds great (strong, not weak)!

Fifth, I’ll show you how to play the very first note of any tapping guitar lick so that it sounds strong. This is very important because the strength of the first note affects the strength of the notes that follow.

Finally, I’ll give several exercises and licks you can play in this guitar tapping lesson. All of this makes your lead guitar playing sound better, more interesting and very cool!
