How To DJ With Spotify (Djay 2 / Pro, iOS, Windows, Mac...)

⚡FYI: Spotify is no longer supported in any DJ software ⚡

Are you a complete beginner, who's thought about giving DJing a go, but been put off as soon as you realised you couldn't just hook your Spotify music collection up to whatever DJ software or gear you've got? That you had to use iTunes and a local library instead?

Maybe you feel like you have what it takes to DJ, but you've never paid much attention to track titles, artist, record labels and so on - but you sure know where to find some killer Spotify playlists you'd like to DJ with!

Or maybe you're just tired of people playing lame YouTube videos through Bluetooth speakers at parties, and are desperate to have a go at DJing instead, figuring Spotify must surely be the way forward?

If so, watch on - in this extended "tips and tricks" tutorial, I'll show you how to get started with just your Spotify subscription, an iPad (or Android tablet, or even smartphone), a great value DJ app called djay (djay 2, djay Pro), and whatever speaker or speakers you've got knocking around.

We'll start by learning some basic transitions, and once we have, we'll move on to more advanced stuff: Plugging in better speakers, plugging in headphones, and how to "pre-listen" to tracks, just like real DJs do. You'll be rocking your next party before you know it!

It works on iOS (iPod Touch, iPad, iPhone), Windows, Android or macOS.
