One of the reason is the simple task of getting the audio from the iPad into the MAC without loosing quality. Most people will rely on an audio interface or by exporting and importing files between devices. BUT there is also a way to stream the audio (and MIDI) between the iPad and the MAC in real time with no audio lost. Check it out!
