Description from the creator

Picking Songs Videos helps you with Elvis Presley's "In the Ghetto".

Here are a few key things to keep in mind:

1. Place your capo on the first fret.

2. Barre the index finger on your fretting hand to play the A chord (or, in this case, Bb).

3. Practice hammering-on and pulling-off in the form of chords.

4. Make sure your rhythm is funky and lightly syncopated in feel, rather than playing it straight.

5. Learn it by going very slow, at first.

"In the Ghetto" (originally titled "The Vicious Circle") was written by Mac Davis and made famous by Elvis Presley.

It was recorded in January 1969 at the American Sound Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, and features session guitarist Reggie Young on guitar.

Released in 1969, the song was Presley's first Top 10 hit in the US in four years, peaking at number 3, and his first UK Top 10 hit in three years.
