How To Write Awesome Metal Riffs

In this video I wanted to just see what I could come up with based on one simple riff idea and share with you guys my approach as I went along. It turned into a lot more metal riffs than I thought it was going to. Each time I cut the camera I'd have another idea, and many times this is how it all goes down for me. When I'm going by feel like in this case, I'll be messing around with one idea and at the same time I'm thinking about the next riff that could tie into it. Depending on what I got going on in my head will dictate how long it takes to come up with certain parts too. I just about always have a drumming idea to go with these riffs too as I'm noodling around on the guitar. Hope you guys liked this, and if you want to see me do more videos like this just let me know. It might become another series. I had fun with it, and that's what matters! Thanks for watching!!!
