Hello there fellow musicians! I created a tutorial video, which might be very interesting for many of you who are affected by the COVID-19 crisis. During last few weeks I’ve been playing and recording music online without delays, using a real-time, low latency communicator system called Soundjack - a free software created by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alexander Carôt from the University of Halle/Wittenberg. Day by day, together with Bogdan Laketic, we optimised its settings to work perfectly for us. As a direct result of presenting our short videos on social media we got enquirers to record real-time concerts for such entities as Karajan Institute, Magenta TV and few music festivals. Since I received questions from many of you about how we do it, I’ve decided to create a tutorial based on our experience of using Soundjack. Please take into the account that I’m not a pro technician, therefore I’m using quite basic technical language but perhaps because of that it will be more accessible to everyone. The Soundjack is a way for me to continue my artistic activities during these difficult times and this tutorial somehow summarise what I have been doing during the lockdown. I strongly encourage you to give it a try. It is an amazing, free technology, which will give you a lot of satisfaction and perhaps even engagements, just like it was in my case. Moreover, it might be very useful also after the crisis - for example when you have to rehearse but meeting in person for some reason is impossible. Enjoy watching this tutorial, give it a try yourself and share it with anyone to whom it might be helpful!
