Description from the creator

The Star Spangled Banner has been talked about a lot lately in the United States so I thought that I'd teach it to you with tabs on the screen. Jimi Hendrix didn't have a problem with it. He was also in the 101st airborne, in the army, and was discharged after a year because of an ankle injury. Then he went out and made a name for himself playing the guitar.

His performance of the Star Spangled Banner at Woodstock in 1969 was iconic. The version that I'm teaching you today is in the same key but without the improvisational elements that he threw in here and there during the performance.

The tab is on the screen in the video.

This video talks about the E major scale, vibrato, sliding technique, a little bit about hammer-ons and pull-offs, and I teach this song on the electric guitar with and without distortion.

Let me know if you have any questions.
