Description from the creator

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. High School can be hard, but understanding that it's survivable makes it easier. Camille Cooley, a current student at Northwestern University, tries to explain that by just doing what you love can make those four years of school some of the memories you'll have.

Camille Cooley is a senior at Cerritos High School who loves to binge watch shows on Netflix and read cheesy romance novels. But when she's not doing these things she's leading organizations, performing, or trying something new. Interested in pursuing a career in the Global Health field, she's volunteered at hospitals on the other side of the world as well as here at home. Attending Northwestern University in the fall, she believes that it's not what you say that defines you - it's all about what you do.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
