This video will teach you how to properly use an MDI inhaler (Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Dulera, Flovent, Qvar, Xopenex Ventolin, Proventil, Alvesco, ProAir). A metered dose inhaler, or MDI, is a pressurized canister of medicine in a plastic holder with a mouthpiece. When sprayed, it gives a reliable, consistent dose of medication. A spacer is a device used to increase the ease of administering aerosolized medication from a metered-dose inhaler (MDI).
