If you are new to my channel:

✦Welcome Adventurers!✦

The time is here! I am FINALLY doing THIS!!!! My name is Jen Louzon, but on this channel I go by ChiGirl because you can take the girl out of Chicago but you can NEVER take the Chicago out of the girl! I'll always be a spunky, liberal, city girl from Chicago but life's adventures have significantly changed now that I'm married, with two step-children, and live in rural Michigan! 😊

Why YouTube? To put it simply, 3 years ago my ENTIRE life changed! 😳

Think major life changes...wedding, moving, new job, buying a home, becoming a step-mom, death of a parent, etc. THEN this year, I turned...wait for it...40!! Yup,the BIG 4-0! These days, life seems to be moving at warp speed. SO to keep up and stop the whiplash, I decided to start a weekly vlog as a way to chronicle all of my life's...well... ADVENTURES. The best part is I've decided to bring YOU along for the ride! 👏🏽

✦How the idea of ChiGirl Adventures began✦

In April, while on my belated honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, I made a friend who happened to be a Vlogger! From the moment I met her, she kept insisting I should vlog (check out Anissa's Youtube vlog: Dominican Republic Vlog | Part 2 | The Life I'm Living, to see the moment the idea of ChiGirl was born)!

After giving it a lot of thought (and spending 5 months planning and getting my "ducks" in a row) the idea of becoming a Youtube Vlogger has gone from a THOUGHT to my REALITY!

This is a very EXCITING yet UNPREDICTABLE journey, but I'm up for it and I hope you ALL are ready to JOIN me! :)

✦Channel Art✦
The Chicago Flag Art work in my channel art was created by a Chicago Artist, Mike Maher. Check out his website (mike-maher.pixels.com/ to see all of his awesome watercolors!
