Description from the creator

Lisa, our own video editing expert, shows us how to save time on projects and boost consistency by learning how to autosize on After Effects.

Expression for size of box:

a =thisComp.layer("your text layer name");

w =a.sourceRectAtTime().width;

h =a.sourceRectAtTime().height;

[w,h];

Opacity of third box to switch the layer on and off when not in use :

txt = thisComp.layer("^name of your third line").text.sourceText;

if (txt == ' ') 0; else 100;

Position expression of null to move the boxes when third line isn't in use:

txt = thisComp.layer("^name of your third line").text.sourceText;

if (txt == ' ') [x,x]; else [x,x];
