Hey shrimp keepers, hope it's a good week so far. Hump day! It's always a good day when the work week is half way over haha Anyways, I wanted to do a quick video today to talk about something I get asked frequently.. how to acclimate shrimp.

Since I just got new shrimp in, I wanted to show you all how I am acclimating them. All you need is a few simple items to acclimate the shrimp:

1.) Air Line Tubing
2.) Air Line Valve
3.) Two Clips for holding the Air Lining

This method on acclimating shrimp is easy, inexpensive and convenient. It also greatly reduces the chance of losing shrimp to TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) shock. TDS shock happens when an invert or other sensitive species is added to any aquarium that has softer water than they are use to.

Take as much time as possible to acclimate your shrimp or other species. 24 hours is ideal if it is possible. The longer the better :)
