How to Antique a Piece of Silver

In this video I show the steps needed to antique a piece of silver. I antique a silver bar in the video, but these steps can be applied to antiquing anything that is made of silver such as a silver ring, silver coin, silver, frame, silver jewelry, and even silverware! The process needed to antique a silver piece is fairly simple, but as I say in the video it is critical to use PPE or personal protective equipment when doing so.

I learned some of the tips on how to do this from watching other videos on youtube such as how to antique a silver ring and how to antique a silver piece of jewelry videos. The techniques needed to antique a silver bar are exactly the same. The way you finish the silver after it has been antiqued is up to you but I like to give the piece a polished finish to make the antiquing pop.

The products that I use in this video to antique the silver can be purchased off amazon. My hope is that after watching this video you will be able to antique whatever silver you are trying to do without any issues. This video is basically a DIY on how to antique silver. Please let me know if you have any questions about silver antiquing in the comments and ill be happy to do my best to try and answer them.
