2 Find an internship. In some economies, it's very difficult to obtain a job with just a degree; employers want experience. Interning is a great way to get your foot in the door and acquire the necessary experience to become a network administrator.

3 Read everything technology-related that you can get your hands on. Technology magazines are very helpful in keeping up with the latest and greatest news, programs and gadgets.

4 Take advantage of free on–demand training and webinar opportunities. You can enjoy these opportunities at your convenience. Microsoft offers a wide variety of webinars and on-demand programs in all areas of technology. Post your resume online. Get exposure with top job sites. Employers and human resource offices search job sites for potential candidates as positions become available.

7 Accept invitations to interview.
Do your homework. Find out as much as you can about the company and products. Check out company websites and ask friends and colleagues about current openings.
Make a good first impression. Be early or on time to your interview and dress in business attire.
Ask questions about the job and always follow up with a letter of thanks. Negotiate your pay and accept your new position as the company's network administrator.
