Interview Question: What is the angle of the clock at quarter past twelve.

Answer: 82.5 degrees

At 12:15 the big hand is on 15mins (which is 90 degrees) and the small hand is a quarter of the way between 12hr and 1hr (which is 7.5 degrees) so 90 - 7.5 = 82.5
