Blacken Titanium Process

Step 1.
Sand blast your piece with 80 grit aluminum oxide the white stuff not the brown. you can go lower or higher but i found 80 grit works best

Step 2.
heat the titanium to around 1600 degrees Fahrenheit in a forge or heat treat oven

Step 3. quench till fully cooled in regular ole peanut oil you get from the store

Step 4. Repeat as needed to darken

Disclaimer: THIS DOES NOT WORK ON POLISHED OR SATIN OR ANY OTHER FINISH THEY ONLY TURN A DINGY BROWN AGAIN FINISH MATTERS!!! .... at least in my experience ...
