This is how we soften deer, rabbit, possum and fox skins. You really can use this method on most small/medium size skins. You can use a wider pipe to run the skin over one edge like we have in this video (works well for small or thin skins), or you can use a thinner diameter pipe to run the skin over the entire top surface of the pipe (works better for larger skins).
