Description from the creator

Today we are going to show you how to brine baits using salt and baking soda. Brining baits makes your baits stronger and more durable. This in turn keeps your bait from falling off the hook so you can catch more fish. You can use this for beach fishing, inshore fishing and offshore fishing. There are two ways to do it. One way is to use an ice mixture to let your baits soak in the brine. This is a better option but it takes more time and requires ice and a salt water mixture. We are going to show you the quick and easy way to do it. The other way is to sprinkle a salt and baking soda mixture over the baits. This isn't quite as effective but is good to use in a pinch or the night before when you thaw out your baits.

The mixture we use is 2 parts kosher salt and 1 part baking soda.
