Description from the creator

Building a fortress is one of the most important concepts you need to know to defend a seemingly hopeless position in chess. You can use a fortress to avoid a breakthrough, whether your opponent has a powerful attack or a decisive material advantage--rendering their aggressive or extra pieces moot.

Many chess players focus on attack, but defense is just as important if you want to become a well-rounded player and attain full mastery of chess. Balance is key.

I would recommend mastering BOTH "Art of Attack in Chess" by Vukovic and "Art of Defense in Chess" by Soltis. Mastering defense makes you a better attacker (since you can anticipate the best defense) and vice-versa.

Meanwhile, subscribe to get some in-depth explanations of those essential concepts on this channel.
