Description from the creator

We collect a lot of information. Very little of it turns into knowledge.

In this film I walk through the personal knowledge management system I've built and refined over years: the Four Cs — Capture, Curate, Crunch, Contribute.

It's a simple way of thinking about how information becomes useful: what you collect, how you sift it, how you turn it into understanding, and how you contribute what you've learned back into the world.

This is the foundation underneath my work on commonplace books, Cornell notes, paper-based learning, and tools such as Joplin and Zotero.

Filmed at P&G Wells Bookstore and around Winchester.
