Description from the creator

Learn How to Build a Raised Garden Bed out of cedar wood which is naturally rot resistant. Treated pine lumber can also be used as a less expensive option for building materials. Raised Garden Beds are perfect for small spaces with poor soil or in urban areas on top of concrete and asphalt. To build the Raised Garden Bed in this video, you will need: 12 2x4 boards, 8 feet long; 2 4x4 posts, 6 feet long; 80 3” deck screws for fastening; 1 6x10 woven weed barrier; 20 cubic feet of compost; 20 cubic feet of topsoil. You will also need the following tools: a circular or miter saw; a drill or impact driver; a measuring tape, level and stapler; a post hole digger and shovel. This video was created by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Starr County in collaboration with Gladiator Television Network in Roma, Texas as a part of the Growing and Nourishing Healthy Communities Grant provided by USDA.
