Are you tired of seeing fluctuations in your GPA? Have you been thinking of how to calculate your own GPA? This video presents to you a step by step tutorial on how to calculate an accurate and reliable GPA. With excel you don't need to suffer manually hustle with formulas to get your GPA right. Excel has solution for monitoring and making cross checks on the process our institutions calculate our GPA. Follow the steps below

1. Design your template to include the name of the institution, faculty, department, year and trimester, course code, credit hours, grade, what to include in GPA calculation, Trimester GPA and Cummulative GPA.

2. Spell out the Grade and their grade point equivalent.

3. Classify you credit to relate what to include in GPA by using the IF function e.g. =if(E6="Yes",C6,0).

4. Specify the total grade points for a grade in relation to its credit hours using the IF and VLOOKUP functions. e.g. =if(E6="Yes",Vlookup(D6,refer to step 2,false()),0*I6.

5. Enter the formula for calculating GPA in the Semester GPA column e.g = Sum(individual GPA x individual credit hours)/sum(total credit hours)

6. Repeat the formula in the Trimester GPA for the first trimester in the second and third trimester column.

7. Repeat the formula in the Cumulative GPA for the first trimester

8. Repeat the formula in the Cumulative GPA for the second trimester and adjust the cells to include the credits and grade points for the first trimester.

9. Repeat the formula in the Cumulative GPA for the second trimester and adjust the cells to include the credits and grade points for the first and second trimester.
