Learn how to clean an all natural jute pet rug indoors!

We love our pets and naturally want the best for them. So it’s important to give your pet a safe place to eat and sleep; use our natural jute pet rugs. In my house, I use a Dog Bone Rug to protect my floor from any spills under my dogs food and water dish. I know it’s safe for him and for me because the rug is made of 100% natural jute fiber, even if he eats food that he spills on the dog bone rug.

Each week or at least once a month, I recommend cleaning our natural jute pet rugs. All you need is water and a drying rack. “Best Drying Rack” is my favorite (here’s a link):

First close your bath drain. Start running cool water in your bathtub. Use your shower head, if you have one, to shower the pet rug. Then move it back and forth in 2-3 inches of cool water (not hot).
Roll the rug and set it aside. Drain the dirty water from the tub and of course, rinse the tub.

Next, carefully place and open the Best Drying Rack directly in your bathtub or shower. The "best drying rack" has solid wooden feet.
Pat excess water and wrinkles out the rug before laying it flat.
Then, lay the rug across the rack & be sure to evenly distribute the weight of the rug so that it’s well balanced and does not fall over. Leave the rug to dry for twenty four hours.

You will be delighted by how fresh and soft your Pet rug is!
When it’s completely dry simply replace it under your pet’s food and water dish until next month.

My recommendation is to buy two Pet Rugs and alternate them whenever you clean.
