Lots of authors enjoy leaving their books exclusively on Amazon when they do their kindle direct publishing because they can take advantage of kindle select and get paid for page reads, which adds a whole knew level of income when it comes to royalties.

However, there are some authors who are all about going wide and publishing their books on as many sites as possible. No way is the wrong way so long as you can make a success out of the path you choose. So experiment with what works best for you.

I've given you lots of options for formatting your kindle books for free, but if you want to publish your ebooks on sites like Barnes and Noble or Apple iBooks then you will need a completely different file format called an epub.

Formatting that is as simple as formatting for kindle, you're just going to export your Word document into an epub file...or rather, you're going to convert your Word doc to epub through a free app called Calibre.

In this video I show you how to convert a Word doc to epub, how to troubleshoot epub errors, and then I give you a few options when it comes to publishing wide.
