How to crochet dreadlocks on straight hair

He wanted big parts. His hair is very long and fine.... with crocheting into instant locz it shrunk about 3 inches or more.

Have the person wash their hair the day before without conditioner so it’s extra dry. (And clean because it’s gonna be a while before they should wash it again)


1. Back comb

2. Pinch 🤏 the strand of the section where you will create your loc... while you have it pinched start poking the hair with the 0.60mm crochet hook.... I’ve used bigger sizes before like 0.75mm or even 1.00mm but I feel like it’s wayyyyy more painful.

3. Palm roll

You can cut the frizzy part of for it to look super stiff and neat but careful because you might thin them out. I didn’t cut anything for his locz
