How To Do A 360 : Detention 2012 : Wakeboard Instruction

One of the most common things I hear from people who are trying to do 360's is "I can spin around but can't get the handle" First thing I tell them is to take the word "Can't" out of their sentence and replace it with "I haven't gotten it yet" And then I tell them that we are going to work on surface 3's to which nearly everyone says "I can do them on the surface already" To which I reply "But I think you'll find the way I teach you to do them will be pretty different from what you're currently doing and it will help you see how much easier they can be." Not to mention the low risk, high reward steps that take place along the way. I encourage you to take your time w each of the drills and don't move onto the next step until you've really mastered the techniques and grown your comfort zone with each step. When doing the surface 3's the speed is approx 12-13 mph while going straight behind the boat and approx 13-14 when doing the traveling surface 3 between the wakes. Then approx 14-16 when doing the inside out surface 3's.
