Today will be using the bull analogy to get men to make the first move and keep chasing without you looking desperate. Give it a target it can’t hit and dangle it and let it keep hitting it until it gets tired and then you can attack.

Find out where your enemy is strong and neutralize it. If he gives you money, say no.

So applying it to dating: get the man weak, get him wanting you, don’t open up and then say I love you when you know he felt he lost you.

Use a guy’s impatience and eagerness against him. In war, it requires more effort to conquer a land than to hold it. For the most part, when a person attacks, they’re in a place of weakness. They show their cards. So any time you put them on the defensive with a counter (like not responding to his non-response or preemptive breakup) then it’ll make him feel uncomfortable.

So if you want him to give you more, bring it out in him. If you want your enemy to lose energy or attack him, find out what pisses him off and do it.

1. Bait the enemy into making the first move. Bait him by feigning weakness. An easy target is hard to resist. This strategy has been one of the best strategies of war. It’s subtle, deceptive and it always puts you on the side of strength.

Fundamentals of baiting and countering (barrier)

1. Never be first in nicknames
2. Never be first in kisses
3. Let him do it by insinuating you like it (I find it hot when they call me that) or inviting him (talking close to him, wearing lipgloss)
4. And then set a barrier by denying him but now you know.
5. Let him be first to say I love you
6. Rile him up emotionally and don’t release it. Let him make the first move

A passive-aggressive strategy to baiting

So this is done through mirroring them and becoming them and suddenly shifting. (I can imagine if you did this to me, I see you a week later posting on Matthew’s blog and then I’ll comment … what are you doing and u be like, it’s not what you think… the hose comes out, hey mate!) But this will lower their defenses. If you do this it’ll work for your next attack or counter. Once they like you, then pull away and make them wait for your texts, and to see you. Reduce the frequency and he’ll go ape shit.

The reason why this tactic works so well is that as humans we find it hard to wait. Patience is a virtue most people haven’t developed. It causes people to limit their options and make hasty decisions without thinking. The advantage of patience is that it puts you in a good position to attack. Most people don’t wait for the right moment, you, on the other hand, you wait. You wait and when the moment comes you’re prepared.

So when you develop patience you have more options. You think long term and rather than fighting little wars (bad little relationships that come out of fear), you wait for the big one and go hard.

But the key is to have the presence of mind and remain calm as your opponent attacks.

- focus on your breath and remain present
- practice meditation
- see their inner child

When dealing with “barbarians” don’t get intimidated by their facade. They’re weak. Look for the emotion that gets them angry and shows some weakness, a weakness they can easily externalize their anger and then counter.
