HOW TO HAVE A QUITE TIME WITH THE LORD

A. Start with proper attitude. 1 Samuel 16:7, 2 chronicles 25:2
1. Expectancy (Anticipation & eagerness), Psalms 63:1
2. Reverence (Silence, Stillness), Habakkuk 2:20
3. Alertness (be Sober)
4. Willingness to obey. John 7:17

B. Select Specific Time. Mark 1:35

C. Choose a Special Place. Luke 22:39

D. Follow a Simple Plan
Materials: Bible, Notebook, Pen, Hymn Book
1. Wait on God (Relax) Psalms 46:10
2. Pray Briefly (Request ) Psalms 139:23-24
3. Read a section of Scripture (Read)
-read carefully with understanding. Take your time to read,
-read repeatedly until you draw a picture in your mind.
-do not stop reading until you get the whole picture
- if possible read the whole chapter or read before and after the chapter to get the total picture.
4. Meditate and Memorize (Reflect and remember )
5. Write down the what God has show you (Record)
6. Have your time of Prayer (let Request be made known unto God)
P - Praise the Lord . 1 Chronicles 29:10-13
R - Repent your sins
A - Ask for yourself and Others
Y - Yield yourself to God's Will
