Description from the creator

This is an example of a visual, key-vocabulary board, used to support and enhance communication and language during learning.

Visual key-vocabulary boards contain the key vocabulary that will be used in the lesson, in a visual format, such as photos or symbols.

When teaching, the teacher can point to the vocabulary board to support and emphasise their language when speaking.

Children can use the visual vocabulary board to prompt them to remember words or to help communicate a message by pointing to a picture.

This is especially helpful for children with communication and language difficulties, autism or are new to learning a language.

Really, this type of support can help all children!

This is an inclusive communication teaching strategy.
